Setting Work
Stone setting has been my most recently acquired skill. As a jeweller I felt it was important to gain that greater understanding of how setting works exactly. It's a different approach of looking at jewellery and I think it's a very important skill to have in order to make timeless pieces. I started by going to the Netherlands and taking a course with a world famous setter there. As luck had it I was able to share a work space in Toronto with another very talented setter who I learn from every day. #teamwork! I actually love setting. I find it meditative and challenging at the same time, it keeps me interested and engagement even more with every piece I make.
